Alistair Beaton is a well-known voice on BBC Radio 4, having presented several series of FOURTH COLUMN as well as a number of other programmes including THE BEATON GENERATION, and has appeared on programmes as diverse as ANY QUESTIONS and THE NEWS QUIZ.

Electric Ink
Alistair Beaton's timely sitcom in which old hacks meet new media in the newspaper industry.
Two series were produced for Radio 4.

From Fact to Fiction
Series in which writers create a fictional response to the week's news. The year is 2012, the Kyoto treaty is about to expire and the eyes of the world are on the London Olympics. But one junior minister is so frustrated by the International Community's failure to seriously address the Carbon Emissions crisis, that he decides that a spectacular environmental gesture wiill help focus attention on what really matters.

Dome Alone
in 1999 Alistair Beaton took a sneak preview of what was really in the Millennium Dome and an irreverent look at what we are supposed to be celebrating at Greenwich during the build up to the year 2000!

Beaton Generation
This punningly-titled series was hosted by Alistair Beaton and broadcast live from the elgendary Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in London.  Each programme was 45 minutes long and included broadly topical and satirical material from various regular performers, plus special guest comedians each week.
